Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations Perform scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures Ensure that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure Assist with Circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient Ensure adherence to Hospital, State and departmental policies and procedures QualificationsJob Requirements Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT - Certification Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Job Requirements High School or GED equivalent Graduate of Surgical Technologist Program Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical Technologist Recommended Skills Basic Life Support Certified Surgical Technologist Surgical Procedures Apply to this job.
