ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice RecommendationsPerform scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures Ensure that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure Assist with Circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient Ensure adherence to Hospital, State and departmental policies and procedures QualificationsJob RequirementsCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT - CertificationAnnually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Job RequirementsHigh School or GED equivalent Graduate of Surgical Technologist ProgramMinimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical TechnologistSalary:
$31 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
