Responsibilities:
Review all upcoming patient appointments for insurance eligibility, referrals and other issues that may impact reimbursement.
Listening, answering, and devoting full attention to patient, medical professionals, and supervisors questions Acting as a liaison with patients, referrals, general practitioners, health care professionals, and patient's family member in a compassionate and kind manner Relaying and confidentially communicating both orally and in written form any notes or questions patients may have Entering, maintaining, and reporting all patient information into EMR system Answering inbound calls to the registration department Other office responsibilities, assigned by supervisor or Physician, as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
Job Requirements 1 year or more experience in a Hospital or Physician Practice setting Preferred Job Requirements Associates, High School Diploma, or GED equivalent; higher education may be substituted for experience Medical Office Administration Certification Prior understanding and use of Electronic Health Record (EMR) or other billing system.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
