As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office - Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients - Manage patient records and update information as needed - Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payment processing - Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns - Maintain a clean and organized reception area - Able to perform chairside assisting when needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental practice is preferred - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple calls simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage patient records - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in computer skills, including dental software - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
