ResponsibilitiesPosition
Summary:
This position is responsible for the collection and analysis of quality data and other metrics required by CMS, NJDOH, the NDNQI and TJC.
This person will do concurrent medical record review, and enter the data into our Quality Management data base and NDNQI data base.
Also responsible for collection, trending and analysis of nursing sensitive indicators, Sepsis and Stroke.
Incumbent will serve as a clinical resource to the Interdisciplinary Team for performance improvement on all quality measures, JC standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.
Incumbent will collaborate with Chief Quality Officer and Director of Health Information Management on review of charts for Hospital Associated Conditions, Hospital Acquired Infections and Patient Safety Indicators for a quick review of any identified cases before billing.
May be asked to do medical record reviews for cases identified for peer review.
Presents data and analysis of the data at the Performance Improvement Committee and other committees as assigned by the Chief Quality Officer.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Nursing required Masters Degree preferred 3-5 years' varied Nursing experience (i.
e.
, Med/Surg & ICU RN experience) with clinical chart review and abstraction experience required; quality management, data collection and reporting methodology experience preferred.
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality Certification preferred Recommended Skills Billing Clinical Works Content Management Data Collection Databases Health Care Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
