In addition, the medical center is a designated Stroke Center.
Pascack Valley Medical Center is committed to offering excellent care to the local community through various hospital services including a Women's Center, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center, Imaging and Diagnostics, Sleep Center, a Wound Care Center and a Center for Joint Replacement.

Responsibilities:
Position
Summary:
Responsible for the supervision of all PBX operators in accordance with Pascack Valley standards.
Provides prompt, courteous, and efficient handling of all incoming calls and assistance for outgoing calls which transpire through PBX.
Also plays an integral part in assisting with emergencies, (fire, medical, power/system failure) by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Use equipment only as intended.
Anticipate Patients' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all Patients, however busy and whatever time of day.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities; in-house groups; Pascack Valley extension numbers; Wi-Fi number/radios carried by Pascack Valley personnel Secure headset to console and log onto system.
Access all functions of system.
Respond to all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings, using proper salutation and closing.
Route callers to requested Patient or Pascack Valley personnel/department.
Place calls on hold.
Monitor busy lines; check back with caller on hold to update status and offer to take a message.
Accept, record, and deliver Emergency overhead calls.
Provide callers with accurate information on Pascack Valley facilities and services.
Access system for long distance carrier's foreign language operator.
Monitor telephone system problems and maintain log of such.
Document all Patient complaints or problems; notify designated department/ personnel for resolving the situation.
Assist in emergency situations as central communication center for Pascack Valley.
Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with on-coming Operator.
Training onboarding new or returning PBX operators All other duties as required
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in PBX.
Education:
High school diploma.
General Skills:
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of telephone systems; ability to suggestively sell; ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
Language:
Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
None required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
